    I would run the hoses down the frame tubes away from the exhust.

    They need to go down the centre between the exhausts to plumb in where the filter is, on the factory fitted bikes they have a bracket that holds them together

    Then I would suggest a "Double Clamp up closer to the filter or you'll end up with burnt hoses and oil all over your rear tire!
    Look for something like this:

    gives you more of a sttraight shot down to the frame mounted clamp, should look tidier too.

    Maybe a hardware store, but more likely a hydraulic hose supply or you could even check out an electrical supply outlet for conduit clamps. The one in the picture was an example I Googled, but it's available in China. I'm sure some one make one in North America too.
    Here, I just went one better. Went on Evil Bay and found this;

    Just one other question, does the manufacturer mention how much more oil to add to make up for the added volume neede to fill the cooler, lines and adapter plate?

    Hey, what about adding a bypass to the lines for riding in cold weather. I do see the need for the cooler in the heat of summer, but here in Northern Michigan, those days are far and few between. I would be concerned about the oil not getting warm enough on a cold morning ride.

    Just a thought

    You can buy thermostats that go inline that will bypass the cooler until a certain temperature is reached
