Well I have been looking at trunks and stumbled across this find. Not sure if this is the way to go but for $50.00, I had to try.

Wanted to pass it along if anyone else was thinking about purchasing. This seems to be the same one as JC Whitney.
If anyone has this let me know what you think.

I bought this one and it looks great and works very well. And for $25 well worth it.

I will say the straps are cheaply made and I took them off and used plastic zip ties to secure it to my back rest. Roomy bag and very functional.

I also got a tool bag for the front of the bike. $17 and I love it!

And no I don't work for this company. lol my bike is a 82 650 maxim j everything fit great.

    Good luck

My buddy has the exact same trunk Brian.
It's been bouncing around behind him for about 4 years now I think.
The red portion faded a lot, but we painted it blue to match X2 which is his daily rider now.

How are you going to mount it?
There's some pics in my photobucket album what we did to mount our trunks and beef up the frame where it bolts up.

I have the same trunk. Its served me very well for 3 years. Its no Hepko or Touratech but for the cash it ain't bad. I have a friend that has 3 of these on his bike and benn there for 45,000 miles. Not waterproof if there are sideways though.

I have the original luggage rack on my bike and thinking it should mount directly to that. I will also remove the sissy bar. This is my first thought, when I receive and look at whats going on, it might just change.
I just need some room to carry stuff and this should fit the bill nicely.
I have read some decent reviews, my only concern is when it is locked are you able to remove from mounting plate.
Should be here this week and then I will post some pictures on how its mounted and what it looks like.

I was pretty sure these would look fugley at those prices,
but they actualy look very nice-not the style for mine but
not at all bad for the money.

UPDATE: It arrived yesterday and after about 15minutes it was installed on my factory luggare rack.
Had errands to run last night and it was great, very roomy for everything I should need.
Will try and get some pictures this afternoon and post.
Not exactly the look I was going for but function over style works every time. Will be much easier to take the bike verses the cage.
