I took a couple of pictures of my bike and added it to my gallery if anyone wants to see.

I also took a couple of pics of the LED light set I added and a side by side comparison of a stock 1157 next to a 3 watt LED. I'll add more pictures tonight after it gets dark of the lights.

Oh yeah and maybe the after dark pics will show the change to LED I did on the license plate light.

Ebay. The same guy still has some of the 3 watt 1157s. Item number 200046148479. He sells all sorts of LED lights. He's in China and shipping took exactly 1 week.

Where would I find the list of lamps needed for my bike and the equivallent LED replacements?
I have the XJ CD ordered but don't know if this info is included.
    Thanks

The easiest way would be to pull the bulbs out and see what they are. I know on my bike, somewhere down the road someone replaced one of the 1156 turn signal bulb/socket with a 1157. So in that case, the manual would be wrong.

Here's how to tell what you have. A 1156 bulb has one filament and only one contact point on the bottom. Also the 2 little nubs on the sides (think like the bolts on frankensteins neck) are at the same level toward the bottom of the bulb. These are on/off only and come in white, red, amber, etc.

A 1157 is the same size but has 2 filaments and 2 contact points on the bottom of the bulb. The nubs on the sides are not at the same level, one is higher. These bulbs are off/low/high and used as brake lights and running lights.

THe bulb on the left is an 1157 and on the right is 1156.

Thanks! It's a bit rough up close. It was a helluva lot worse when I bought it. By the way Rob, from the pictures, I'm sure that 700 of yours is much, much nicer.
