Is there fuel getting from the tank to the Carbs?? Have you set the tank switch to Prime for 10 mins prior to trying to start it?
Set the the knob to Prime with the fuel line disconnected to see if fuel comes out.

yes gas is going to carbs, and i set it to prime for a few minutes and i have unhooked the line and gas comes out in a real small stream. should it be more free flowing?

I had that same problem when I switched carbs from parts bike. I cleaned them I thought really well. I thought then it had to be electrical went thru all that everything ok there, nice blue fire. Now I was frustrated took old carbs apart cleaned them blew them out with air, which I didn't do on parts ones, presync useing a wire gauge on butterflies. My thoughts were if it didn't run on the other carbs it's not going to run on these. I swaped them anyway, she fired right up and ran like it never did before. I would try the carbs again make sure you pull all the jets out, floats and neddle seats blow the heck out of them with air.
    Hope this helps

No offense was taken on your first post, don't see how anyone would have anyway. Glad you got the swapped wires nailed down. Good to hear you got the harness installed and it works! Don't throw the old harness away, it may come in handy for parts later in life. Make sure you have good alternator brushes to prevent connector melting later down the road!

ok i have a few more things to ask ya.
first off bike does run, but when kickstand is raised it shuts off when its down it runs? and i think neutral switch is out, i can ground the sky blue wire and it will start. and the blue wire that plugs into in to has no power pos or neg in any gear. is the neutral switch located at the bottom of engine right behind oil filter housing? if so it'll be a b*tch to get to.lol
    thanks.

I got the wires mixed up on my old KZ when the previous owner (PO) installed the coils backwards. Not a big deal, but the manual said that the left coil does 1 and 4 and the right does 2 and 3 on this machine. The book assumed that my PO knew rear from front, so it never bothered to state which direction the coils should point. I was ready to tear into timing when I noticed a picture in another part of the book that had the coils pointing opposite to my setup.

    Ran much better!!

If it shuts off when you raise the kickstand, your clutch switch is not working or your not working it (take your pick). Your neutral switch is behind the oil filter housing and, yes, it is a royal pain to deal with. Easier with the motor out.
