    hi everyone, first post.

yesterday i bought a 1982 yamaha xj750 seca. it is running, mostly original condition i think. the plan is to do stuff to it this summer whilst riding, and do some (a lot) more when winter comes.

i've read this forum the whole day now and i have decided to stick around so cheers to you all

Welcome! wanna get rid of the windshield/box/rack? I'm rebuilding my bike, and when it's ready to ride I intend to take some long/overnighters so I need protection and carrying capacity.

Welcome this site will answer every question you have about your bike and may even have a couple of pictures to go with it.

its got some aftermarket windshield and box, both are ugly but functioning.
i'd be happy to sell them but i do live in finland, so it might be easier to find those parts from the us.
the shield is pretty crappy, it has a slot sawed off for the instrument cluster. i can take pictures if someone is still interested.

Finland....maybe you're right, shipping would not be cheap. I'll have to pass. btw, if you go to your profile and put in your location (not address, just city/state or country) it'll help others know who is close by. Never know when you might run into a fellow board member.
    Again, welcome!
