I just got my carbs back installed etc (first bike I've ever worked on), but I want to add an extra inline filter... I just don't know which hose to put it on. Does anyone have a photo of this or tell me which line it needs to go on? sorry for sounding so unknowledgeable. :-/

I guess I should have looked at the FAQ instead of searching. Thank you for the help.

Quick tip: The filters generally have the flow directions labeled, which takes all the guesswork out.

Be careful with the so-called "No Name" Inline filters.
Some of them are made so cheap they don't work.

Fram Clear Inline Filters are my first choice and they have a flow arrow.

I keep a fuel filter on each of my bikes. I see it as cheap insurance. The shop down the road from me actually puts one one every bike that leaves their shop. If it didn't come in with one, now it has one; if it came in with one now it has a new one. I asked them one time why they do that. Owner said the last thing he needs is for a customer to come back with crap in the carb after paying for a cleaning. If they have a crappy tank, it'll still get caught in the filter, not the carbs.

...that's why I also keep a bunch of filters handy at carb clinics.

well I got it on and I got ti started.... sadly one carb is flooding, so it looks like it's rebuild time. :-/ thanks for the info again, I might look into getting that fram inline one. I have that "no name" one from autozone for $3.
