The bike hasn't been run for a couple weeks and the #1 and #2 carbs are leaking. They were cleaned and synced over the winter. When I did ride this year she ran fine and no leaks. I know I need to rebuild the pepcock on the tank, could that be causing the carbs to flood and then leak. I ask only because the bike leans to the #1 and #2 carb side.

make sure that your petcock is set to 'on' or 'res' and not 'pri' which stands for prime. if it is you will get a constant flow of gas from your tank and cause all kinds of strange things to leak gas.

if you pull your gas line off your carbs and gas flows freely from the 'on' or 'res' position, you know you need to rebuild your petcock, and chances are, that's causing your leak.

carbs still shouldn't leak in the PRI position. either the floats are too high, the needle valve isn't closing, or maybe you have bad float bowl gaskets.

Go to a Hardware Store ...
Get a "Briggs & Stratton" Inline Fuel Valve.

Install it just to the right of the Petcock.
Shut-off the Gas when you are Parked.
    Off is OFF.
Nothing is getting by that Valve if its OFF.
    $11.99
Add 2-Bucks and buy a Bottle of Black Nail Polish.

Give the Hose Clamps and everything but the outside edge of the Valve a coat of Black Nail Polish, ...
    The Mod virtually disappears.
