I'm going to re-work the seat on my Max for one of this Winter's projects.

When I get done; I'd like to have eliminated the "Playground Slide" effect that slides you forward toward the tank, all the time. (I hate that!)

But, I'd also like to have just a bit of cushion remaining behind me ... "supporting" my lower back, and promoting a little comfort.

If you've done this Mod; did you just remove and sculpt the foam rubber ... or, did you have to add some foam rubber; too?

What's THE most effective technique for doing the surgery and reshaping?
How do you add-on additional foam cushion if you need too?
Will the brand new seat cover I have on it now be OK or am I going to need custom sewing etc.?

i know if you are going to re-build the foam (start from scratch) you can buy the same foam that is used in your seat from Sears, they come in block form and in different size blocks.

i had a local guy where i live re-build a seat for me last year,(82 v45 magna) i wanted to add foam and he told me that if you add foam and want to keep the same comfy feeling then you have to re-do the leather totally or cover, because if you just stuff more foam in there alls it will do is make it harder and taught. he re-sculpted the foam and re-shaped the seat for me and re-made the cover out of similar fabric and it was real nice, he charged me $70.00

he was the one that told me he bought the new foam block from sears.

The guy with a helmet on and ridiculous look on his face ... ? That limits the search to 1,000.

    Thanks.
