Anyone heard of this motorcycle-park-assist machine?

This is news to me and I wish I had this when I had my condo, as I had so much crap in my little garage, it was like trench warfare getting out and in. Expensive and possibly gimmecky, but so are most hobbies of mine, and many of the women I date.

Pretty cool, although it would be ALOT cooler if it was a lift too.

Yeah prolly for the RV-Harley touring crowd. Ma and Pa can wheel in, turn the Electraglide FHST-LMNOP-QRST around, close the end of the trailer, and then drink rye and coke and fall asleep watching satellite TV. Tomorrow they eat a greasy breakfast and head out the door.

Hey that actually does not sound too bad... :D

Pretty funny they put a WOMAN in the video, showing just how easy it is to use. "Even your wife can use it!"

I don't really see the point, is it that hard to wheel your bike out backwards?? or make a 3 point turn? I guess maybe in certain spots it could be handy, but you could also get a set of gojacks to do the same thing for way less money
    http://www.gotools.com.au/GoJack.htm
Pull in put the go jacks on spin ur bike take them off and your set. Ok maybe not but its worth a try

That would be my question too. I just backed my bike out today past a bunch of old test equipment and a lawn tractor and it was my pleasure to do so to get her on the road. :)

That and if you had one of these you couldn't park your bike next to another vehicle or against a wall. You have to have about half a car's space open just for the bike and this thing.

Not that that wouldn't be desirable but I currently have that space filled with another bike. ;)

Besides - if you're going to get a rotating platform for your bike why not get one that's motorized with spotlights... :p

I think this was designed after seeing the episode when austin powers is doing a three point turn. :)

Further, I am surprised no one lamented about the rider and her lack of safety gear when parking her bike, although I guess we have a lot of the cruiser corwd in here. :p

I do that pretty frequently using the kickstand. Just lock out the bars, pull the bike onto the sidestand, and walk it in a half circle. The sidestand hasn't broken off yet ;)

I use the kickstand method too. Pretty easy... but also pretty easy to drop a bike that way. For the maxim sized bikes backing out is possible... but backing a larger bike out is a pig if the hill is the wrong way, particularily for the shorter riders.

When I lived in an apartment I had my maxim and my ninja infront of my car. Luckily no one parked in the spot next to me, unfortunately I was parked next to the pillars so getting in and out was tricky. For the winter I had an xs400, zx600r, and the xj infront of the car... talk about a full spot! The bikes were handlebar to handlebar and the bumper was next to the brake pedal on the maxim.

Don't some of those baggers come with reverse anyways? Seems such a shame. Buddy of mine has a Goldwing with reverse and the thing sounds like the space car from the Jetsons! I'm sure it's comfortable but not my idea of a motorcycle.

Yeah I've seen this in magazines recently - you can make one yourself (though not as pretty) for about $50 (or less).

Option 1 - for the full two wheel support, you can built it yourself:
    Motorcycle Turntable

Option 2 - for a quick turntable using your centre-stand:
Get a 12" steel Lazy Susan bearing set at Lowes or Home Depot, about $10. Place a piece of mild steel over it. Now, put your bike on the center stand, riding on the lazy susan. You can push down on the back of the bike to lift the front wheel, and easily turn your bike 360°. Good for cleaning and working on your bike; for not having to back out of the garage; and for all of you who have wanted since you were five years old to have your own train turntable. Alternative: if you have smooth concrete, you can get a 12" by 12" piece of Teflon. Idea and photos by Scott Cloninger

I wonder if their taget market is either big bike owners or lazy bastards

OUCH! Well I can tell you that turning a bagger around can be a bit challenging. I had to do it on soft gravel in Arizona with a HD Electra Glide and it was not fun!

I almost dumped a loaded VFR with three cases when backing downhill from a post office and was surprised to find my left foot was not feeling mother earth after I made a Backwards J turn. Made me feel goofy, but I didnt lose it that time...
