Tried searching and none of the manuals I have show how it works, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how the air filter goes back into the air box!

When I took mine out, it pretty much fell out, so I had no chance to look how it was set up. I've tried putting in the little metal tab piece a few ways, but nothing makes it stay.

Really embarrassed I have to ask about this one.

Most OEM Filters have "Ears" on them to lock them in place in the Airbox.

You either have to set one of the EARS in the space for it on the Airbox LID ... and install the Filter with the Lid.

    Or, ...

Fit the Filter in the Box with the EAR in the Lock Groove and install the Airbox Lid to catch the other lid as the Cover is put on.

(The Cover will NOT go on right unless the Filter is captured in the locking slots.

Your airbox has "ears" in the lid that wedge the filter in place as the lid goes on.

The challenge is keeping the filter somewhat in position so said ears pick it up correctly.
