    Hello

My neutral light is very dim. Also the bike will only start with the clutch engaged. When I disengage the clutch it acts like its dead. Just put the bike back together after minor accident. Everything is working except for those 2 issues, all other lights work and bike runs well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Track down the connections for neutral safety switch, and clean 'em up REALLY good. Use dielectric grease when you put it back together. Good idea to do that with every connection on the bike, but start there.
I'm still new to the XJ's so there may be something else.

Thanks for the reply. Will this have anything to do with the clutch situation or just the neutral light? Thanks.
