Saw a spy shot at Raptors and Rockets, but this was following a link on the Yamaha website. They want input? OK, BUILD THE DAMN THING.

    There's some input...

Cool. Those mufflers actually look good, unlike many stock units. :)

I wonder if the air scoops are actually functional? :?:

I checked out the link...thanks for posting that. :)

That V-Max looks great to me....except for the lower radiator which I'll assume is an oil cooler. That looks tacked on, or like it's at the wrong angle or something. If they could incorporate both radiators into a more streamlined housing, that would be a lot better.

And I also wonder what the bike will look like after they comply with the DOT regulations regarding signals and taillights and all that stuff. :?:

Not the kind of bike I would buy, necessarily, but definitely styley in a Death Race 2000 sort of way. Floogle's right about the radiator arrangement, though. They need to rethink that if the bike goes into production. Not only does it look strange, but the bikini-waxed front fender would allow the tire to kick all kinds of crap into the cooling units.

I think they're shooting for something like the "Final Fantasy" crowd. The people that want to ride this thing.

The vMax doesn't look all that bad except for the oil cooler thing. I'm just wondering if it's good for anything but racing. I'm not wild about what appears to be somewhat upright pegs with that slanted riding seat.

I like it. But not crazy about the coolers up front, like XJ4Keeps mentioned, possibility for damage is there. I'd say the air scoops are functional, like all the other vmax's that is the air intake for the renouned V-Boost, not actually the main intake. But overall it looks pretty saucy.

Wow, yamaha is finally making a new V Max. I like how they kept the air scoops in the new design. I've never ridden a V Max before, but read in many magazine articles that the old V Max made gobloads of power, but fell short in handling. Hopefully, the new V Max will remedy this.
