Alright....time to hook the 15" apes up and get this thing functional in then next 2 weeks. SO, I have to get the cables ordered and here, so I can get them on the bike.

Does anyone know what an '83 XJ750 stock throttle, front brake, and clutch cable lengths are? I need stock +10 I believe for the 15" apes to be functional.

As soon as I can get the measurements I can get these puppies ordered and get this show on the road. If no one knows I SHOULD have time to pull the cables and get them measured Friday...>MAYBE... I have a lot of work to do on the HEEP Friday too, so time is of short supply.

    Thanks guys :D

I just took string, measured the lengths I needed with the apes on my ride and then ordered heavy duty cables. My clutch cable is actually a Harley clutch cable...could probably tie up the Queen Mary with it.

Thanks John. Where did you order them from? Do you have any pics of your setup? How about the brakes? Did you upgrade to ss lines and where did you get those?

Go to my photos and you'll see what it looks like. I chopped and raked my XJ as well so I also got ss brake-lines which came with my engineered triple tree. Everything works great. I even ran the wiring inside the apes to clean up the look. The cables were picked up at a local custom bike shop here that keeps old used bike parts as well...I used to go in their parts bins and spend hours looking through everything they had to find possible matches. They got to know me pretty quickly and gave me run of the used parts room. If you need something and can't find it, let me know what you are looking for and I can go check out their stuff. You'll only pay the actual cost of the parts (I always negotiate good prices) and the shipping. I'm gone for the weekend but if you need to, pm me. Good luck.
