pilot screws

    I v got my carbs tore down again...needle valve tips worn out, cleaned everything inside again and replaced needle valve and seat. HELP... I can't for the life of me find the infamous pilot screws everyone is talking about. i know I'm getting old but not completely blind yet!

    1. Edit your signature so people know what ride you have.

    2. They are probably behind small caps that were factory installed to prevent user tampering. Other posts tell you how to remove them CAREFULLY to avoid damaging the brass screws just below the caps.

    EDIT: See that depression to the right of my finger tip but left of the rusty carb top? That is where my #1 pilot screw is. (My caps were already gone).

    +1 they are usually located on the top of the carbs, just off where the enrichment plungers are. If they have never been touched before, then they will likey have a brass cap over them.
