The EPA plugs were virgin. Got em out without incident. Let em sit in light 3in1 oil a few minutes and they all turned without any real force.

Cylinder 1 was 3.75 turns to lightly seated
    Cyl 2 2.5...
    Cyl 3 3.75...
    Cyl 4 1.5...

The bike ran "alright" when I picked it up, haven't put more then full temp 5 miles on it before tearing it down so I don't have much of a reference point.

I can understand a little variance from the factory to dial it in for smog & other reasons... but THAT much of a difference made me wonder: What have other XJ'ers found?

The EPA Plugs got pulled by most dealers.
Bikes tweaked to Idle better than the EPA Set-up.
The Machine at most Dealerships used to do this didn't work.
The Bike got Tweaked to IDLE and get-going Off-Idle.

    New Plugs got Installed.
Now, ... YOU get to adjust them any way you want.

makes sense, thanks sir. Most bikes racks that I;ve cleaned up have been within ~1 turn of each other and I was wondering if I'd missed something.
