    Hi All!

After the engine went on my 1982 650 Seca, I picked up a 1983 650 Maxim (with roughly 42,000 km on it) for parts. After taking the engine and any other components that I think I may one day need I am left some items to get rid of! I am really, really hoping to sell these locally (I’m in Toronto, Ontario) as I’d like to avoid having to deal with shipping etc. I am also very anxious (as is my wife) to get rid of these, so I think I am selling them at good prices! I took these photos in the fall - but I think everything is still in this condition. The gas tank had to sit on my deck over the winter but it was completely covered and wrapped.

    GAS TANK:
The previous owner claimed that he bought it new a couple of years ago from a dealer, and looking at the condition it’s quite possible! The inside in pristine! The badges are old and not so great, but could easily be fixed up. Highlighted in the photos below are the few flaws. There’s slight dullness in the finish where the seat contacted the tank, and two very small nicks on the front (one each side). Also, the paint is a little marred on the bottom lip on one side and it doesn’t look so great underneath. Really though, these things are not noticeable - it’s in amazing shape. Includes petcock and gas cap with key! $140.00

    SIDE COVERS:
I didn’t clean these at all before I photographed them. I suppose I should have. Anyways, they have no cracks and their mounting points are intact. The metal leaf is half missing on one and completely gone on the other! Besides that, they look good. $40.00

    GASKET KIT:
Brand-new complete engine rebuild kit! I bought this from Chacal to replace my head gasket. After finding out that my rings were shot I ended up buying the Maxim for it’s engine and never used the kit. Unfortunately I opened it thinking I needed a gasket - but didn’t! So I can’t claim that it’s un-opened, but swear that it’s complete! $60.00

Feel free to contact me with any questions and I’ll try my best to answer them!

Hmmm... I'm really not sure. I think there's been a lot of posts regarding tank interchangeability - I'm sure one of them would let you know. If not, I'll investigate! Though - if your in PA it would change things. I was really hoping to sell locally because of having to completely drain the tank and removing all trace of gas for shipping.
