regardless of the fact that there are dumb people out there or not, there is no reason for someone representing a DEALERSHIP to be advertising their business and posting parts for nearly 50% more than 'stock' price.

what does that say to people like us who would possibly spend a little time in a dealership looking for parts or maybe even a newer bike? you shouldn't need to do tons of research to buy quality parts from a dealership for at least a decent price.

they might as well advertise selling an empty box for that same speedometer for $75 and see if some 'dumb person' would buy it. it does not speak a business of integrety to me. i know i'll never go to bloomsburg for ANYTHING for my bike!

i bet the main reason its even listed on ebay is someone ordered it and never picked it up. more then likely the factory will not take it back on their inventory return because of the age. 20 years ago when i worked for a dealership. we would do inventory for other dealers mostly harley shops for extra side money. but also more then likely they got a 20 % deposit on it to boot so they should be happy to get 180 or 190 out of it and would still make money i would bet they probably have 130 or 140 in it max

I have always said that profit is not a dirty word, but there is profit and then their is gouging. In a free market the buyer(s) dictate the price by choosing to find value and purchasing the item or not. I guess this comes down to Caveat emptor-Let the Buyer Beware (on the price). Always do your research.
