The motor is very clean and solid with 27,722 miles. I'm selling the motor complete with radiator, harness, air box, mph gauge to keep track of the mile's, engine covers, hose's, ect. HEADERS, TRANNY, STARTER AND EXHAUST ARE NOT FOR SALE. I have a pay pal account or hit me up to set up something, $200 firm..shipping not included.

Re: 1986 MAXIM 700X MOTOR, ECT.

Location would help a lot for folks like me. If it's local, that helps. I know a few guys on the forum that might like to have this.

what other parts are for sale, how's the exhaust etc, etc?

Re: 1986 MAXIM 700X MOTOR, ECT.

ok...I'm in San diego, the headers and exhaust are super clean but not for sale. I priced it at @ $200 for the motor with original mph gauge to keep track of the miles, radiator w/ cover, hose's, motor cover's, sensor's, wiring, ect. I know there's people like you out there, that's why I priced it at $200, so that you get a good deal even with the shipping no mater where your at. So if it cost another $200 for shipping wish adds up to $400 for what the motor by itself sells for! This motor coming off the bike had only 1 owner, the same guy that bought the bike brand new from the dealer. Always garaged, never dropped, left out in the rain, or damages on anything! I'm selling it because there's a $445 registration fee and carb's now need a rebuild :(

Re: 1986 MAXIM 700S MOTOR COMPLETE SWAP $200!

I'd LOVE to get my hands on the.. headers. They look mint
Ship the complete bike out of state. I can't imagine the back registration fees would follow along (of course it is California though)

It's a shame to see these things get parted out...but then again there are lots of us that can use nice parts too!

Re: 1986 MAXIM 700S MOTOR COMPLETE SWAP $200!

This picture was take after a good check up, cleaning and polishing. There's no rust, dings, dent or scratches and that's the reason I won't sell them..wait the other was incase I get a fix it ticket for mine but now that I think about my bike is that these won't look good considering that mine's a bob/ratbike and these are toooo clean for it, lol! If the price is right, I'll sell them!

Re: 1986 MAXIM 700S MOTOR COMPLETE SWAP $200!

The headers are for sell for the right price but I'm keeping other parts for mine, I love my bike and I would like to keep it as long as I can. I tried with this one by cleaning up the carbs but it didn't help at all, otherwise the motor has clean vales and cranks over really nice!

Good news for the bike and bad for others, a guy in his 50's liked the bike so much that he didn't mind the dmv fee's and took the bike complete!
