I have a 82 maxim that I recently put clubmans on. The front brake line is way to long now and doesn't react as well as it did before. I was wondering if this line frome tcbroschoppers will work for me...

Or if anyone can tell me where I can get a shorter line from?

    Hi,

Might need to measure the new distance and order a new SS line with fittings to suit.

I am interested though in seeing a photo if you have one to put up of how the clubman bars look on an XJ. I've been thinking of doing the same but wondered about how they'd look and feel on a heavy XJ900 which has pretensions of being a cafe racer in the future sometime.

    Cheers,

    Red

I didn't have any problem when I istalled my clubman on my 650.
Here's a pic so you can see what clubmans look like on an XJ.

I got mine (for Euro bars) from chacal; I simply told him how much shorter than stock, and they have the properly "clocked" ends on them that way.

    Not expensive either.

My bike had Euro bars when I bought it. Maybe the last owner changed the lines to match? Looks like you should get some for Euro bars.
