I love the look and great induction sound you get from K&N cone type filters. I am thinking of fitting a set to my XJ 550. However, due to the YICS and what I have read about XJ's needing to have the carbs properly set up I am concerned that this could cause headaches. Am I being over cautious? I would love to hear of first hand experiences of doing this and the pros/cons.

    Cheers guys

I am using a custom PVC manifold with a single pod and no mufflers without any tuning issues; in fact, I think my 550 is running better than it did with the stock airbox, filter, & mufflers. But this is just my experience.
