It's a regional thing, additionally most people from Mass destroy the English language as it is; "you need pahts for your motorcycle" or put on shots to go swimming?

don't I know it. I live west of the cascades, in Washington. (laundry plus what you do over 100mph)
Over where the apples grow is eastern worshington.

The following sentence comes to mind: There are many Wal-marts in worshington. Very few in Washington.

I kinda figure that if I run into someone from Monterey / Laguna I'll say Seca their way.

    *edit*

oops, a google search turned this up

lol, hadn't heard that one before. I'll have to photoshop up some logo badges.

Have a friend that is a DIE HARD Moto Guzzi aficionado. After wrecking his Lemanns long ago and unfortunately trading away his V11 somewhat recently he was stuck with a string of other bikes that never really fit him right. The beemer GS1100 was almost it but parts were too spendy and it was too complex to wrench on himself like he and I both like to do. There is a happy ending to this story though. By adding just one more bike to the stable he finally met his Quota.
Upright, well handling and power delivery like a diesel.

    The Seca is pronounced: Say'-kah.

Seca is short for "Laguna Seca" which is short for Laguna Seca Raceway.

Built in the Mid-50's, near Monterey Califoronia. The track at Seca was considered a "Proving Ground" for Motorcycles prepared for racing. Even after all the remodeling and changed added to "Mazda'a Leguna Seca Raceway" the track remains one of the most challenging road courses in MotorSports.

Portions of the course are named for great drivers who tamed the circuit.
    The Andretti Hairpin.
    The Rahal Straightaway.
    And a devilish, "Inside-out, downhill, tight, left-right, turn 8 &8(a) called: The Cork-Screw".

Last years MotoGP saw the Checkered Flag handed to Jorge Loroenzo on a Yammie YZR-M1.

Rick, exactly what my research indicated both out in the interwebs abroad and on the previous thread.

Mdee, I dunno if it's the only one and I suppose what constitutes "blind" is up for debate. I mean on any corner, you'll see it when ya get there.
Laguna Seca has two blind corners IMO. 8a/b (the corkscrew chicane) as well as 11. Both are on the back sides of hills (on 11 you can generally see to tops of marker cones as you get close but not the road or rumble strips) and both generally require braking before you can actually see what it is that you are braking for. (I guess that's a good standard for defining "blind") Add to that the fact that you are cresting a hill so the later your braking, the less effective it is. A tricky balancing act that has to be resolved with gently working up closer and harder based on landmarks and sign markers and running your laps on faith that some gremlin hasn't come out in the night and moved the marker signs a few feet.

Or at least that's my experience based on five different video games and a fair amount of talking out my ass.
