I have an XJ650 RJ or J as it might be in the states, and I was wondering if there is a clear picture of the correct placement of the jets inside the bowl, and the jets in the diaphragm chamber.

I suspect I may have gotten the diaphragm jets mixed up.

    cheers.

If you face the rack with the diaphragm side up, and the engine side towards you, the first jet should be the BIG HOLED jet (~195-215 something like that, it's the Pilot jet). The jet closer to the airbox side is the main jet and should be smaller (~80 i think).

On the bottom side, the BIG holed jet is the MAIN JET and goes in the center post. The pilot jet is the small one, and goes in the pillar towards the engine side.

The main jet has a washer, the pilot does NOT.

Thanks for that, I have just reconditioned the diaphragms, sealed the airbox, new filter- and carby no. 3 is running at 60%

Hopefully it is an easy fix like a jet in the wrong hole.

    thanks
