We tried to do this last year. Never got a date going.

I've got a garage and tools. Enough know how to be dangerous. I've got new shims that need to go in for my valves and the carbs will need adjusting once I get my exhaust built. So since I'm reaching the finish line on my build I thought I'd throw this up.

If you're interetsed let me know and then we can work on a date. Or even a different location. the down side to my garage is that it's just that a garage. no restrooms or anything. My house is a couple miles up the road.

Giving this a bump. I'm going to be around my shop all weekend if anyone wants to swing by.

Once I get the caliper' and forks straightened out I'm up for it. Hope to have mine in good enough shape to ride over there, so it'll be a couple weeks at the earliest.

I'm up for it. I'm in NOVA, Winchester to be exact, and after I get the top end completed on my x, I'll be good to go

I live in Burtosnville MD and am not very mechanical minded. I have a 81 Maxim 650 and sometimes # 1 header seems to take a while to heat up where as the others get hot quick. I suspect the carbs need looking into and I would love to do this but I don't have the guts to take this on alone. If you could give me support and guidence I would love to attend too.
I am still a new rider (although not quite a YOUNG one ;) ).

shangovi your carbs probably do need a cleaning and adjusting. My #2 did a similar thing last summer. I got it fixed with a cleaning and a good synch and tune.

I could give you a hand with it apart from this as well.

Well, the carbs on my X are perfect, but the ones on the Seca need cleaning and tuning, which I'd like to learn more about. I'm in.

How's Saturday the 22nd look for everyone?

I've got a rack of 650 carbs that's not on my bike. They were cleaned a couple years back before they went on the shelf but we could use those for a demo set.

I threw my back out yesterday, so I'm gonna be out probably all dang weekend. And, I had to spend the parts money on a new shed for the backyard (hence the broke back!). I probably won't be able to afford the seals/parts that I need until the 15th. So, the bike is probably not going to be mobile until after the 22nd. But, don't hold off on my account, if the 22nd works for other folks go for it. Nothing saying we can't have another later, right?

Due to lack of response I'm going to cancel the 22nd date. I also won't have my bike done by then either. My other XJ (jeep) needed some work and that killed a couple days.

I'll still be around my shop if anyone wants to swing by.

Let's try this again. Saturday 8/28. My shop. sushiplease will be over for some carb work and rear brake shows. Any one else is welcome. I don't have a colortune but that's the only thing I'm missing.

If anyone needs to weld anything I'll need to go get a full tank.

Ok it's wendesday night. Haven't heard from anyone other than sushi....

Sushi we're still good. I'll be over at my shop around 9a.m. I've got other things to work on over there (ongoing). Let me know what time you're thinking.

Skip the food we'll get your bike straight and ride off somewhere to get something if you want. I'll have some water over there. No restroom so stop first if you need.

    Here's the address:
    1 Alder Dr, #A, Baltimore, MD 21220

It's actually the first bank of garages on the right when you get to the complex.

You can see that here under the star:

If you get to the sign for the leasing office you went too far. I'll park my white jeep (photos on my bike build thread) on the street as a marker either before or after the driveway depending on what's available.

    This a bigger map:

    Anyone else is welcome.
