I went to my local bike shop which had lots of old bike parts as well and went through their used cables (some were new) and found the replacements I needed. I had originally bought generic cables from JC Penney and cut them to length, but found they were too flimsy and broke often. As you are increasing the lengths significantly, heavy duty cables (especially the clutch cable) will be important. I have a Harley clutch cable now which you could use to tie up the Enterprise...no difference in pull that I can tell. As far as the brake line goes, my stainless lines came with my raked triple tree. Any hydraulic shop or speed shop might have them. I have 12" apes with 4" risers and they are more comfortable than the stock bars, even on long rides. Good luck.

+1 on motion pro. Measure the length cables you need and shoot them an email and they'll respond with a question or two and then send you an invoice. After they make them and they are ready to ship they'll send another invoice just for the shipping. It really doesn't take them long at all and they do great work.

Sure... I'll look at what I paid for them tonight from work and shoot it to you. Which cables do you want? They're brand spankin new, so I'm not going to let them go for nothing. How does 75% off sound to you and I'll cover shipping?

Where are you camping? I want to make a trip up to URE with the Jeep here in a few weeks.

How bout ya pm me and I can maybe pick em up this week? I'm local enough. And if ya got throttle and clutch I'll take em both. They should work for 12" apes right? You had trouble with the 15s?

yeah, they should work. I was able to route both of them and get them connected, but they were just too tight. When I turned the bars to the left I engaged the clutch :D

I still have them on the bike, so I'll try and get them off today and look up how much I want for them and I'll let you know.

Oh, and I realized that I said 75% OFF above when I meant 75% of what I paid for them or 25% off. Is that a problem? Sorry about that... my brain doesn't work sometimes.

I paid $75 for the pair of cables from chacal. How does $50 total sound? I can bring them to you, you can pick them up, or I can drop them in the mail and I'll pay for shipping. Let me know. I work 7pm-7am and have off Wednesday and Thursday this week.

hahahaha....yeah, look at page one in this thread and I put my name, phone # and email address.

and hold on... I'll go back and look at how long they are. You should be fine using them with 12" apes though. That's only like 7" over stock, right?

Throttle cable is 46" and the clutch is 54", that's +6" from stock on both cables. They should fit great for you.

I get off of work at 7am on Wednesday and I work on Bragg. Would that be too early for you to meet? If it's too early I wouldn't be able to do it until Wednesday evening or Thursday sometime.

Yeah, I need to get back out there and get to work right now. I've been on the phone with Time Warner and Direct TV ever since you left trying to figure out all the ##'s and justify to the wife why we need to switch to Direct TV, so that I can get Sunday ticket.

They're having a hell of a deal right now that you basically get tv for free and just pay the $$ for Sunday ticket for the first 5 months. I think we're going to switch.

All done with it for now, so back out to the garage I go.....
