Complete 8"headlight assembly with very minor rash, plus NOS bucket, trim ring and glass trim. Been sitting on this stuff years, but I know now I'll never have another Seca, even though I think they're excellent bikes.

Thanks, and good luck with all your Hammers!

$45 shipping??? Ouch, kinda takes the joy out of that one. Best of luck on selling them.

Like the ad says, shipping is an estimate. I did lower it to $40.00, and added a buy it now price. Its a big box. The headlight and brackets aren't exactly light, nor is the eight inch piece of glass. I shipped an aluminum kart muffler for a Mac the other day - $11.00 ground. This is substantially heavier. Four times heavier and larger? Easy.

Back in '85, some knucklehead stole the glass, trim ring and headlight assembly from my Seca. $200.00 to replace it, and they didn't even take the bucket. $290.00 shipped 25 years later, with two buckets and brand new bits isn't too shabby in my humble opinion.

When you put it that way, it does seem a great deal more appropriate. Swiped your headlight? What is the world coming to?
Came out one moring 20 years back to find both my headlights ripped off my truck. They bent the trim rings back and took off. GRrrrr... I hope the karma from that one gets them one day.

Darn decent of you to change the shipping estimate though. I do hope you find the right buyer, you deserve it. I'd swing for everything but the mounts.

I was fortunate they didn't take the whole bike - it was my only transportation at the time. They even unplugged the guts rather than yank it out or cut it. I was asleep maybe 15 feet away, albeit inside a motel room. First night in a new town (Sacramento). Real nice welcome it was.

I am ashamed that you were treated thus in my backyard. Oh wait, that's where my headlights got ripped off as well... Must be a shortage of headlights there (I never noticed in 20+ years).

Other than my own personal headlight shortage, I never noticed one either. In fact, besides yourself, I've never known anyone else to have their freakin' headlights stolen. Who steals headlights?

The 650 Seca was available one year in the USA. It is a complete 8" headlight with extra true NOS trim ring, glass ring and bucket included. It is not the 6" light you have on your Maxim. The XV920RJ (Euro Virago, an awesome bike) was available 82 and 83, I think - very few made. A 650 Seca without this headlight is pitiful.

    Rare in my book.

It is rare, to an extent, being NOS. That being said, most all of those parts are still available through other NOS sources as well (who also charge list price.)

Personally, I love NOS parts. They pop up on eBay all the time for pennies on the dollar. I got a brand new swing arm for a 550 Seca for $9 and an NOS cancelling unit for $3.99 because it was mislisted.

Both of those items have a list price over $100.00.

My point is, you will eventually sell it for what you're asking, but you're going to have to wait a long time. If you want to sell it now, you'll need to drop your price.

Auction ended, no sale. Only 60-some views, so I guess I didn't have the best exposure. Oh well. They're packed up and ready to go; if anyone's interested, make an offer.

    Thanks,
