About a month ago my bike started running weird. It has no power to it at all. its like its like your trying to take off in 5th when your in first. I fixed a vacuum leak on one of the carb boots. not its idling high. I've messed with the idle control but nothing helps. Anyone know what this may be? what I should do? thanks a lot

Is it possible that throttle cable/ choke cable housing is not seated right. How did you locate the vacuum leak? How did you fix the leak. How old is the fuel? How many miles on the clock the more info the better

Has there been any work done to the bike? Have you checked the basics like spark plugs and air filter? How about the brakes, are they draging ?
I would start by checking the basic things like plugs and airfilter. Most likley you have some carb problems.

We don't even know what bike he's talking about.

    tsmith we need to know:

    -what bike?
    -how many miles on it?
-mods? (Stock exhaust, or aftermarket? Stock airbox or pod filters?)
-how long have you had it, what have you done to it?
-anything else you might know about its history. (KNOW, not what PO told you.)

-where you are (North America, or ???)

Armed with that info we might actually be able to help.

I had my brakes lock up on me once from the foot peg rest. Hit a bump, the rests moved and kept pressure on the brake. I kept trying to drive faster and the bike was going slower. Finally I stopped, tried to take off only to stall out each time. When I realized what was happening I had managed to cook the rotor pretty good. Enough to warp it and it ended up costing me about $100

Easy fix though. Try the brakes, especially if they have delaminated.

that would be an obvious thing to look at if you can't roll the bike around with ease by yourself.
