How far should the front forks go down if your avg 200lb (ok, fine...maybe 210lb) man is sitting on the bike, and leans forward to intentionally dive the bike? Does replacing the fluid help prevent it from diving too far, or could it be time to replace the springs?

When I lean forward with my weight, the front dives what feels like too far (the spring doesn't bottom out though). It does spring RIGHT back to the original spot. Hoping to get away with just replacing fluid as the seals appear to be in good shape.

How many miles on the bike? The stock front fork springs do get sagged after a while. To tell the truth, they weren't all that great to begin with; Progressives are a cheap upgrade and it does make a world of difference.

39k miles. How cheap are we talking? I don't mind spending the time to do it, but getting close to the money limit I was hoping to spend on the bike.

at 39K miles you might want to seriously consider it.

Progressive Suspension fork kits are usually $70-ish, depending on bike and source. Check with chacal.
