I really cant understand the slightest want to remove that front brake. It should be a no brainer to go for safety over looks any day. I would hate to see anyone try to slow down even from 40mph without a front brake. Not to mention the tendency of the rear brake to lock up. Than what brake will you have? Your feet will get grinded down to your ankles in no time at all. And it still wont save you!

God will call you home regardless of brakes, when the time is right.

Whether God is involved or not, I would say most dont like the odds of increasing the chance of death.

All I can say to anyone even considering running with no front brake is go for a ride on your bike now, and don't use the front brake. PERIOD. No matter what the situation, don't touch that front brake!

You'll quickly see how very necessary it is.

I'm glad this turned into a front brake debate..

anyways, I wouldnt run without one, I'd at least get a spoked drum front brake... whether you like them small or big (big ones are expensive and hard to find) but smaller drum front brakes are cheaper and easier to find

Good call. I'll have to look into that.
