82 650 Maxim

I am customizing my 82 Maxim and have quite a few stock parts that will not be returning to the bike. From the handlebars,turn signals, and the seat, to parts of the exhaust. Most of the parts are in very good condition, with little or no flaws. Let me know what you want, and I will see if I can part with it! I want these pieces to go to a good home. Of course I will send pictures, and heck, if you live in Iowa's corridor, you can see them in person.

Forgot to add, I have a luggage rack with adjustable backrest which was made for a 750 virago I believe. I used a couple of spacers and made a bracket to fit onto the maxim. I am fabricating a new luggage rack this winter so I don't need this one. It sure is nice being able take the maxim on a week long trip.

 

Pics of the rack would be nice, I'd be interested.

 

Here is the luggage rack, there is some pitting on the chrome, and the backrest vinyl is starting to separate. I am still learning how to use a forum so sorry if the pics aren't very good.

 

There is a picture of the luggage rack actually on my Maxim in the XJ modification forum under 82 Maxim Bobber In Progress... Also the 4 into 1 exhaust that is shown in that pictures is for sale.

What exhaust parts are you willing to part with??

 

The stock exhaust I will part with everything except the 4 down pipes. the aftermarket exhaust I will sell 100% of it. Let me know if you need pictures

 

Are you keeping the plastic side covers or do you have any extras?

I am slowly running out of room in my garage... Before I start pitching everything into the bin I figured I would make one more offer/plea. I am not looking to make $$ off of selling these parts (they aren't going back on the bike, and I have no other use for them), I just know how hard it is to find some of them. If you need anything PLEASE let me know and I will work on getting them to you. I really don't want to see parts go to waste.

 

I can't believe it has come to this. I have run out of space in my garage and have to start throwing away parts to the Maxim this week. If you need anything let me know and I will just ship them out for only the shipping rate. Can't get much cheaper than that

Seat, side covers, exhaust, pegs, foot controls, brackets, chain lock (i love that the bike has a chain lock), handlebars... Tons of parts, if it isn't listed please ask and I will be happy to post pictures/reply with what I have. I don't want to let this stuff go to waste
