1982 650 Maxim. Air valve at top of fork.

The air valve looks like a 10mm nut. I sprayed some Kroil and tried to loosen.

Is this a normal righty-tighty fastener? Any tips for removal?

The whole of the top should screw off in the normal way (righty tighty, lefty loosey as you say). Just make sure that you vent off any pressure befpre you do take them apart.
