Loose connection to the tail light. It has not happened with the bike, but has happened on the Olds where I knock things loose getting to other things.

Especially since the wires to that area run right over the airbox.

Now if you checked the connections, wires and bulb already, I got nothing.

Definately sounds like a loose wire connection to me. There's two wires coming from the taillight and they connect to the harness on the right side of the airbox close to the frame rail -- check those to make sure they're tight.

On the other hand, you might just have a blown bulb - checked that yet?

Pull the bulb and check the contacts for current

No current = loose wire or burnt fuse or short.

If the bulb is burnt can it still only light when the brack is pressed. The bulb it self is loose.

The brake light and tail lights are 2 different filiments so yes it is possible that only one will work.
