    Hi all. Just wondering how the private messaging works. So far I have
    sent some messages to others but I am not sure how. I type in my
    message to the other member and it goes into the outbox but from
    there, there seems to be no way to send it on and so I just have
    to leave it sitting in the outbox when I log off. When I log back on again
    the next day my message has now gone to the person that I was
    sending it to. Is this how this thing works. In Outlook Express I just
    write my message to the address that I want to send it to and then
    press the send button and it goes but with the XJ bikes messages I can
    not find a send button. I was just wondering if some one could explain to me how the XJ bikes private messaging works.

    You create and "send" a message.

    It will sit in your "Outbox" until the recipient reads it, at which time it will go into your "Sentbox."

    If you have messages that are "stuck" in your Outbox, it's because the recipient has not read them yet.

    Since I'm on my lunch break, I'll post my understanding so if I'm also wrong, someone can save us both!

    I think that when you initially hit send, after writing your message to someone, it DOES go to their inbox. It appears in your outbox only until they read it. If they never read it, it will continue to appear in your outbox.
    There may also be a notice that will tell you if they deleted it without reading(I'm guilty of doing that sometimes).


    Am I correct class?

    Hi Fitz and jeffK. Thanks for your replies I now know how the private message box works. I was just worried that my messages may not
    have been getting through but it seems from what you all say that

    i've had some PM's get lost myself, sending and receiving but it works 99.9 % of the time
