Hi, quick question - just getting back to the hitachi carbs for an xj650 maxim after a few months on the bench. The rack was broken apart to clean and then reassembled. Getting ready to reinstall, but wanted to double check:

I'm noticing the plastic throttle shaft washers, on either side of the carb rack, are sort of loose under the clip that holds them on. The throttle shaft seals looked like they were in good condition and were re-used, and the clips position seems to be fixed. I can't tell from before if this washer was supposed to form a good seal, is this going to cause a vacuum leak? any way to tighten em up? thanks!

Those washers aren't tight. They're just to offer some protection to the seals.
