Want to relocate ing. switch

    Have 81 xj750 seca has anyone ever relocated their ing. switch tring to clean up bars just got drag bars

    Mine is under the tank above where the airbox used to be. Never been able to post pictures to this site though,.

    I moved mine by adding longer wires to the switch and running them down the frame tubes. I mounted the switch down to the left side cover. The switch has two screw holes in it from the stock mount location, so I had to make a small bracket to screw it to and hold it in place.

    Yup that's where I put mine. My other bike (1100 Shadow) has the switch there also and it's just less confusing when I get on the Yamaha and always reached down to the left side to put the key in, when the switch was up by the bars before (duh) So now I have it where I like it.

    good to keep things in order painter :)

    my install is temporary because im afraid i have to put some pods on :D

    but i do like it there, im going to make a bracket of some sort also.. thenagain i saw a nice thread about rfid ignition, that would be awesome
