Hi all. A little bit of sunshine in Yorkshire (UK) today, so bought some road tax and went out for a fifty mile ride, including a nice lunch stop.

Bike is a bit lumpy on idle but picks up ok. First time out since carb strip-down and rebuild.

    You might be right KrS14......

Check your own photo-album NigeW --> check the way your front wheel was when you bought it and the way it is now..... 8O

It's an Avon, and he has it correctly mounted; I know mine's on there right:

Thanks bigfitz for helping out on this - it's been gone through before, this Avon tyre fitting thing.

Since the sunshine of Tuesday it's been really cold, then foggy.

BTW - how do you get such large photo files to attach to your posts?

No problem; the Avons aren't all that special tread-wise, other tires have similar sipes and mount similarly. The front treads are angled in a direction to be most effective under braking, and the rear the most effective under acceleration. Hence one "pointing" one way, and the other end's pointing the other way. But it does throw people off.

The pics aren't "attached" they're imbedded "[IMG]
