My dad and I are planning on rebuilding his 73 sportster this summer, and I'm basically trying to find an XJBikes for old Harleys. I know there must be thousands of them out there, but if anyone knows of forums that have some good build threads or modification tips it would be much appreciated.

I have a 70 XLCH Chopper as well and can give you a couple of good sites.

If you want straight forward Sportster stuff than you want:

    www.xlforum.net

Lots of history and basic build stuff, Ironhead, Evo, Rubbermount, et al.

    If you want chops:

    www.quadcambastards.blogspot.com

Highly Modified swingarms or rigid frame sportster and buell chopper building.

I am a member on both. You can only view the blog at the QCB forum unless you submit a project and request entry into the forum. But you will NEVER regret the wealth of knowledge in there.

Come on over there then. Submit your info to Rob and tell him "One Rigid Rider" sent you that way.

    Great group...closer to a family...over there.
