Long story short, What will happen if you enlarge the jet in the float bowl.
The one that is related to starting the bike.
And since it's probably not good, does anyone have a spare.
The bowl in question is on the left, outside.

That shoudn't be to much of a problem. The starter circuit is used by the choke. It brings in fuel to add to the pilot jet and enrich the mixture. So turning the choke off should cut that off for regular riding. It may cause problems for cold starts via an over rich mixture for that cylinder. It all depends on how much it is enlarged and what effect it would have on the pilot circuit. That we would have no experience with. Changing out the float bowl of course is a simple solution.

    Good. reief.
I fought that passage for about an hour and resorted to a torch tip drill.
The hole is somewere between the 2 jet sizes in the bottom of the carbs.
The only other passages that I'm in question of are the small holes at the edge of the butterflies.
I sprayed alot of cleaner at them but have to assume they are clean.
It's hard to get a straight shot at them.
Oh Ya. Easy out on the float bowl drains, and have already contacted Steve, the bowl drain guy. :D

The very small passages are the pilot mixture outlet. Remove the pilot mixture screws and spray some Berryman's B12 in there using the straw to seat in the mixture hole. When you see the spray come out of the passages then they are clean. A good blast of pressurized air is invaluable here also. The larger hole to the side is the bypass for the choke circuit. Remove the choke plungers to clean these and see the spray come out there.
You will love ArizonaSteve's bowl screws. I have them in my carbs and they are Sooo Nice!

    OK.
thosse passages seem to be clear.
    Another question or advise.
The screen on the float valve seat, mine seems to be coming apart.
2 of them have holes in them anyway.
Do I just remove them so I don't end up with pieces of screen
stopping things up in the carbs or leave them there?
I'll be putting a good filter inline before the carbs.

Just remove them. The replacement float seats don't have them so once damaged they are lost. The inline fuel filter will take their place.
