Saw this on Craigslist and thought of you guys. I see XJ's come up now and then but this one appears to be an excellent example needing a new home. Will probably have to tune & sync the carbs + but that should be done anyway. Wish I could afford to own this bike because it's a sweetie. I drooled over the great pics that the guy put up in the link he gave. Enjoy!

He had it posted last year, guess it did not sell. It is a nice looking X.

Been a little while mlew. I see you have some new Yamahas in the stable to enjoy. I'm surprised this X didn't sell last year but he'll probably take less for it soon if it stays on the market much longer.

If the bike in the link is actual current photos, I'd say that was a steal!

Very true Maxim-X, I would buy it at that price for sure. The guy should hang on and not let it go for much less.

I would like to have it , but it is a little small for me. Got a garage full now and need more room.
It has been awhile since we met Scrape, we need to have a area meeting with all the XJ folks sometime.

If I were working for a living and single, I'd consider the 13 hr one way trip do-able.
That's a really clean example for the year and if it runs as good as it looks someone is gonna be pretty damn fortunate to get it!

Your a big guy mlew and it's a good thing having some additional ponies between your legs to turn that back tire on the highway. I'm sure that your Vmax does the trick and hopefully just short of being a widow maker. Your stature is similar to the Green Giant's also which poses a problem. In visual scale you would make that 700 look like a 250 when you sit on it. lol

I'm up for a group ride this summer but you would have to be seen with a naked Kaw ZRX1100 because it's my only bike for the moment. I ride like a geezer in large groups so you don't have to worry about anything green trying to lead a pack of Yamahas. 8) I need to find Eddie on here for a meetup ride also because I lost his number in an old cell phone accident that would not download contacts. I think that you rode with him on a trip to some airplane museum that was posted on this site some time back...me thinks. He rode an XJ cafe racer at the time and is a local resident who could possibly join the group. He talked about getting a Harley on our last ride so he may be too good for Jap bikes these days. lol

No doubt there with being fortunate! I'd have to divorce my Wifey to own that bike. I need to learn how mlew pulls off multiple bike ownage with his better half.

Hey Scrape, maybe he's made a typo on that long list of bikes in his sig. Right at the bottom he says "86 250 Rebel(my wife's first)", maybe he actually meant to say "86 250 Rebel(my first wife's)"!!
