Ahhh the Stebel - my favorite horn :)
The Nautilus and Nautilus Compact are the most impressive horns I've found, especially for the money

Thanks for the links. My horn went kablooie two weeks ago, and no amount of electrical diagnosing has got it working again.

Looks like I need a new coffee spiller!

I like it from a cost standpoint but you might want to check the legality of a two tone siren for on road use. Its a felony to impersonate law enforcement.

I have 2 (low and high) fiamm freeway blasters. I have a post showing install and my wiring harness I built (1/2 way down on my electrical post in my signature). Cheap enough at a semi-local autostore.

Yes I too have the Freeway Blasters (low and high tone) which are great! The stock horns are so timid sounding, even in an enclosed garage they still lack enough sound to get anyones attention. When I beeped my stock horns in the garage, my wife said, "oh isn't that cute"! Ya cute is not what I was aiming for. So now after installing the Freeway Blasters, I hit the horn button next to a car on the freeway and they just about jumped out of their seat with the windows rolled up. They are super loud. I feel alot safer now with something that is able to get someones attention.

My horns apparently blew last week, and I ordered the chromed ones from Acumen, intending to mount both in a 30 degree angle protruding forward from below the "foglight"...

I installed a Mitsuba 103db unit on my bike on Saturday. Pretty loud.

On my other bike, I replaced the stock "beep beep" horns with ones off of a car. It's plenty loud now and gets auto drivers attention with their windows rolled up. I used a relay to trigger them.

Found a 128 db horn at local Princess Auto. Slight modification to mounting bracket and fit it in the original location. Have the stock horn in a drawer in the work bench.

Put a Stebel Nautilus clone (Bad Boy) on the Royal Star.

Just look at the decibel rating on the horn. Anything that puts out 100-115 decibels or more is plenty loud. 125 decibels with make your ears bleed!!

I tried to fit that Stebel into the stock position on my 550. Would have had to modify the frame to get it in there.
