How much are you paying per litre/gallon?

    I'm glad I'm not running a car 300kms a week... 91 just hit $2.109 per litre

I don't know the metric system conversions, but here in NC it's $3.39/gallon for regular unleaded.

    $3.59 a gallon for premium

It's just gonna keep going up and up and upppp, so abandon those projects trying to make your XJ fuel injected and focus your efforts on making it run on milk or soda.

Wow, NZ gas is expensive. Over here it's $1.169/L for regular (89 Octane). Premium it's about $1.279/L (approx $4.84/US gallon). CAD is almost = to USD.

The shaft drive bikes get 42-48 in tune, "normal" riding.
The chain drive bikes seem to easily break into the 50's .

Yes gas prices are high but check this out.The price of Gas versus Printer Ink

All these examples do NOT imply that gasoline is cheap; it just illustrates how outrageous some prices are....

You will be really shocked by the last one!
    (At least, I was...)

    Compared with Gasoline......

Think a gallon of gas is expensive?

This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective.

    Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 ... $10.32 per gallon

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ...........$9.52 per gallon

    Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ..... $10.17 per gallon

    Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ......... $10.00 per gallon

    Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ...... $33.60 per gallon

    Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 ... $178.13 per gallon

    Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 .. $123.20 per gallon

    Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 ....... . $25.42 per gallon

    Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 .....$84.48 per gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER...

Evian water 9 oz $1.49..$21.19 per gallon! $21.19 for WATER and the buyers don't even know the source

    (Evian spelled backwards is Naive.)

Ever wonder why printers are so cheap?

So they have you hooked for the ink.
Someone calculated the cost of the ink at...............
(you won't believe it....but it is true........)
$5,200 a gal. (five thousand two hundred dollars)

So, the next time you're at the pump,be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, Pepto Bismol, Nyquil or God forbid, Printer Ink!

Just a little humor to help ease the pain of your next trip to the pump...

And - If you don't pass this along to at least one person, your muffler will fall off!!

Okay, your muffler won't really fall off...but, you might run out of toilet paper

Yes it has to do with Libya, and a whole bunch of other stuff. The global elite are beginning their end game..........destroying the dollar, free market societies, etc. etc. No one knows why other than the obvious, power, control, greed. But many think there is more to it, just can't agree on what. Bottom line is, buy food, bullets/weapons to defend your family, and have a source of water or the ability to purify water nearby. I know it's supposed to be "modern" times, but we have forgotten the face of our fathers....and they would biotch slap us for being too dependent on the mf system that is trying to kill us all! Wake up, do what you need to do to take care of yourself and your loved ones, please, it's not a joke. I want to live.......don't all of you?

    Peace

I don't need to buy water, or iced tea, so I do not care. In 12/08 the price of gas was $1.61 per gallon for regular. As of this morning, it is $3.49 at the same gas station......hmmmmmm

Gee guys, think it's going to get better when the Mideast gets completely taken over by extremists? LOL I’m afraid we have only seen the tip of the iceberg but it’s that huge piece lurking just beneath the waves that is going to really hurt but most people will continue to pretend its not going to happen, then they will scream and cry and want someone to “fix” it…..

Hate to point it out but 3.785 liters equals 1 gallon, not 4.5

tskaz..if your car was running on our gallons (b4 we convereted to metric) you'd be getting 12 mpg. Based on, 1 us gal' = 1.2 imperial gal', close enough.

$1.22/L up here, that's for the low grade stuff, 91 Octane is prolly $1.30/L or so.

Truck uses 55L every 4-5 days (~500km.. so 11L/100KM = 21mpg) if i just drive to work and home.

    Bike uses ~15L/300KM (5L/100Km = 47 mpg)

    COMMON SPRING lol

I don't like spending 20% of my paycheck on gas, JUST to MAKE that paycheck.

I used to get 7L/100 (33.6mpg) from my 1994 Grand Am SE... a car that was 15 YEARS OLD!

I wanna throw my fist through the TV everytime i see a ford commercial trying to boast 8L/100km as something life changing for fuel efficiency.

For the moment here in Southern Ontario (they're predicting an increase of 3-4 cents / Litre this week):

Regular (with 10% ethanol or so - we can't get straight gas anymore) is $1.23 / Litre

Converted for elsewhere in the world, that's:
    $1.71 / L in New Zealand
    $1.25 / L in Austrailia
    $0.91 EURO / L
    0.78 GBP / L
and $4.797 / Gallon for those in the USA (converted for both money and volume)

Most of my family live in England, so I thought I'd Google gas (petrol), they are paying £1.33 a litre 8O which converts to $2.09 8O a litre in Canada. I was just bitching that our gas is going up to $1.32 a litre, guess I don't have too much to complain about, but I do anyway!

Watch, mark my words, the U.S. will claim that due to the oil shortages, blah blah, blah, that they are going to start drilling and refining oil from Alaska and other places untouched here. But, they will also set their prices at close to the high prices at that time, so they can rape America and the rest of the world for the most that they can. It's so sickening, man! I don't believe in socialism or communism, but there has to be some kind of a limit to what we will allow greed to turn into even if it violates our ideas of capitalism, doncha think? Can someone say "no monopolies?" oh, they already said that, just didn't enforce the sh*t!

I hear all the time that it's the oil companies that are gouging us - at least in Canada, but ..... wait a minute - who owns the oil companies? Hmmm , it's the shareholders. IT'S US ! If you have a pension - either government or private, I bet your pension fund owns oil shares. I have investments in Canadian Banks - which also owns shares in Oil companies. When the price of gas goes up, the shareholders make profits, which means the pension funds make profits, which are used to pay ............US ! So, yeah, I get PO'd at the price increases at the pump, but I sure like the dividend cheques every 3 months. When the economy does well, everyone's happy. Prices go up but wages also go up. What's the big deal?

Well, for many of us, our companies are invested in oil, but we aren't, we're invested in the company, and they tell us every year, oh....we only made 65% of targeted growth/profits, therefore, your profit sharing/bonus will only be 65% of the 5% that it could be, so, yeah, thanks for the 500 dollars, hope you enjoy the 500 million in record profits, lmao! It's all a big ass scam! Glad you're doing well Rick, but alot of people aren't, even though they followed the rules and worked hard all their lives. I really don't even know what to say anymore. Guess I'll just keep finding ways to distract myself from reality and act like everything is "ok" lol.

p.s. and you're not a shareholder, you're a stock holder, big difference, they decide who gets dividends and how much.

Like Fitz, my work takes me 550 miles a week. I have a Expedition and a SLK230. The car driven at 70-75mph gets 18mpg....however I found in the last month that driven 55-60mph, it's getting a firm 32mpg.

We don't even want to talk about the truck and it's 5.4 liter engine.

My Vstrom 1000 gets 42mpg whether I ride at 55 or 80mph. Only higher does it drop to 36-38mpg.

My turbo will prbably only get 5-10mpg when I get it tagged in a couple of weeks because i won't be able to keep from twisting it's tail<LOL>

My little CB350 gets 50 something mpg.

Frankly, I don't care about gas prices because I am one of the very lucky few.

Somehow though the President seems to think that our country will rebound even as gasoline prices, already nearly double what they were when he took office($1.82), continue to climb. He's sadly mistaken....it just won't happen. There is nothing that will clamp the brakes on our economy faster then rising fuel costs. A quick history lesson will prove the same. So now we are left with no money as it's all been spent, not even an honest willingness to stop the spending, skyhigh fuel costs and electrical rates right on the heels of those fuel costs. I feel sorry for an awlful lot of people that used to believe that things would get better but now understand the reality of the situation.

The Saudi's announced they were cutting production......

Regular gas hit $3.83 this morning where I live.

The saudis cut production because there's too much oil on the market. But the prices are high because that's what the speculators demand based on what they paid when they bought the contracts months ago.

We're a captive market. Almost everyone needs oil in some form so we'll pay what it costs and they'll keep charging what they like.

I saw on the news last night that the oil futures traders are allowed to buy the contracts on 10% margin. So that oil they're saling for $108 a barrel they paid $10.80 up front. The weakening dollar also does not help.

And its only gonna get worse i noticed on the news this am that the price of a barrell of crude jumped almost $4.00 a barrel think whats thats gonna do for gas prices in the next week or 2.
I guess i am lucky in a way also gas prices do not effect me either I no longer have to drive to work since i retired but do feel bad for those with a long commute. Guess i sold my supercharged pick up while the prices were still good. I still have the race car to drive as long as i drive sane it gets about 8 if i put my foot in it i can use the gas gauge as a tach but you have to pay the price for a 12 sec street car.

I see anywhere from $1.295 to $1.349/L on my way to work.

Common warm weather! Need to ride the bike to work. I'd rather have ~45mpg over <20mpg (truck)

Price today 1.387 per squirt (litre). That is 5.25 aUS gallon. There is a movement starting here to boycott the big oil companies and buy only from the independents. The thought is that if they suffer long enough the price will drop. This is not a one day, rotational, or single target program. I'm on board with that.

Our problem is that a large, a very large portion of the price is tax. Therefore we will get no relief from the government nor will they intervene in the price. They make too much to worry about the average Canadian.

Its $4.07 a gallon here in columbus. ~$4.15 for diesel. It jumped a dollar in a month.I remember last year when I could get gas for $2.84 a gallon. Back when I could afford to drive a car. Being unemployed, still in high school, going to college its not easy to get a job around here. Ive been turned down multiple times because I was going to be going to school even though I would when the place is closed. I too have a 80s ford with a 302 and im getting 8.5 mpg so to go to school it costs $30 per week. On top of school fees and such. Not a good time to be unemployed by any means.

Just got gas with some good news. Filled up yesterday, $3.95 a gallon, and I calculated 46 MPG! Not only is gas starting to dip a bit in price, I'm able to use less.
