I'll let you know when I get pulled over because of my 79(82) plate. Probably won't be long...

I just registered mine as an antique vehicle this year. Maximum pay out in a claim is $800.00. I don't plan on crashing though.

Antique plates here in S.C. are a pain in the caboose. Limited mileage, parade usage only, etc. etc. Looked into an antique plate, but opted for regular plate to eliminate hassles.

I'm pretty sure it's 25 years old here as well in Ontario, BUT, you're only supposed to use them on vehicles that you drive sparingly (to car shows etc)

25 years in British Columbia. You can drive it as much as you want - but not to and from work or school. BIG savings on insurance.

In Va they will give you that historic plate but it is limited miles, can ride on week days I think weekend only... So I opted for a normal tag for my bike when I registered it in my name after I bought it. '82 XJ650-J

30 years here... You can ride for as much as you want. Lower insurance and road tax.

in queensland ,australia, its 30 years, you have to join the vintage jap bike club, can only ride on official club rides,or for testing after you have done work on your bike with in a radius of 15 kilometers from home, not for me,dont know how much cheaper it is but i believe you are better getting it registered as a solo seat but the seat can only be 500mm long and you have to remove rear pegs and drill out holes,

I was up at the MVA to register my 75 H2 and a guy in line heard me talking with the first lady and called me over with a "psst, hey buddy"...nervous that he was a wierdo or something, I went over to him to which he told me that if I just got the Historic tag, it's only 25 bucks and all I have to say if pulled over is that I'm going to or from a show....an hour later I had my Historic registration then I ordered and received my vanity tag! SWEET!!
