Tank bags. What are you gents using?

I'm going on a 675 mile long trip on my maxim in a few weeks and I'm looking for some more storage than just a backpack. Do any of you have a tank bag recommendation for a xj650?

My tank has a Joe Rocket Manta, which is fine for day trips because it's not that big, but I really like it. There's an XL version that I might move up to.

Whichever tank bag you end up with, just be careful not to pull/slide it when taking it off, because it will grind that dirt trapped under there right into your clear coat. And judging by your bike that's the last thing you want.

One of my buddies with a cruiser has this one. Enough space, but not too high it goes into your chest, lol.

And that concludes my knowledge of tank bags.

I have two of them, both made by Cortech.

One is a "Super Mini-Magnetic" which I use for commuting and general running around, as a "take it with me glovebox" http://www.cortechperformance.com/xcart ... 42_31.html Like I said, I have the "magnetic attachment" version. Very convenient.

I've been quite pleased with both of them.

 

Canon 7D for now fingers crossed for a hasselblad digital back in the near future.
