    I can't believe you actually sold the bike rather than adjust the valves and finish tuning the carbs. You were so close...

    I got $1600. It was running perfect, that's WHY I sold it.
    I learned a great deal about these bikes. I have a XS 750 triple that needs finished now. I found the forum I need for it but, I am sure they are not as good a group of guys as you all.

    I rode it everyday up till it sold. Someone else can fiddle with the shims (which are probably fine along with everything else I took apart on it).
    My intentions were to turn a little profit on my first bike and
    I did ok.
    I'm excited as hell about my other project and gonna finish it out
    hopefully as good as the XJ.
