maxim x front fork chrome cover???

    ok, on the front forks there is a chrome cover that sits on the top of the dust seal. mine are loose and rattling around. i cant find them on a parts fish site, so are they somewheres, or do i need to just cut them off? thanks.

    They tap down into the fork tube unless the little tabs are off then a drop of clear silicone will hold it

    I have had some that just dont want to stay in. A dab will do ya just make sure its not rubbing on the fork.

    Something that works just as well is black RTV gasket maker. Right color and it resist oil and road grim particularly well.
