    Welcome to the site. There are several things you NEED to do before riding.

    1) check rear brake shoe for lining de-lamination from shoe.
    2) check brake hoses. They should be changed every 4 years. (recommend stainless)
    3) replace all rubbers in brake system and install fresh fluid. (recommended every 2 years)
    4) check date code on tires. Replace if any signs of cracks. I think five years is the replacement age.

    Nice looking stock bike. Make sure to check on the safety issues as mentioned above. Remember that bike is 30 yrs. old, but a very nice piece, have fun and enjoy your ride.
