back fire

    changed exhaust put on drag pipes now pops or back fires out of one side exhaust is two into one on each side[ hand made exhaust]

    popping/backfiring is generally a sign of an overly lean condition on deceleration OR you need to have a look at your valve clearances right away. (Or both.)

    If you went from a stock exhaust to open pipes, then...

    My advice still stands.

    I'd look for a leak where the exhaust header bolts to the head, or a leak between pipe sections if it's not a single piece. If you're sucking outside air into the pipe at some point, that might lead to misfires like that.
