XJ750 carbs wanted

    Hi,
    I am after a set of carbs in good working order for an XJ750 Seca or Maxim as bieleve they are the same, can anyone help ?

    Mine are beyond repair I think, I have bought the bike from a friend but it has been standing for so long the carbs are black inside, tried cleaning them, the bike runs but only on choke and irratic when choke is turned off.

    Sounds like blocked up low speed jets. Did you fully dismantle them? There's some good step by step how to's in here on refurbing carbs and there's no shortcuts. Have a read of the post called In the Church of Clean to get an idea of what cleaning carbs really means. Best to get very friendly with your carbs, and check the jets and needles to be sure you have the right sizes in there. Good luck.

    I have a set of carbs for a 750 for you. They are unmolested AFAIK. I've kept them for spares but have not (and probably won't need them). They are I believe 1981 or 1982 but I don;t think it matters for those years.
