I (with the help of a bike mechanic friend) am getting my 82 XJ650 Maxim ready to ride. I purchased a Yamaha fairing on eBay which is in very good shape. I'm told it was made by Yamaha for the 650 Maxim's.

My issue is that it arrived without mounting hardware.

I have looked through about a third of the pictures in the gallery and have not seen this fairing on any images.

So, my question is - Does anyone know about this fairing and what the mounting brackets look like. I think I can make a set, but it would help if I had an idea what I was trying to make first. OR does anyone have the bracket for sale?

BTW - this is an AWESOME site for info on my bike!!!

I will try to get a picture or two up this weekend of the fairing.

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Thanks for the link/info!

The fairing is more Cafe style as opposed to touring, which is probably what I will eventually get.

I'll keep looking and, like I said, will try to get a pict or 2 up this weekend.

Try number 6 to upload the pictures...

The "scuffs" in the shots are actually smeared dust and dirt. The fairing is actually in very good condition.

Seems my images were too large before.

Thanks again for your help in this mounting issue I'm having.
