Could someone tell me the stock front & rear rim size for my bike? I can't remember (It's been 11 years since I rode it) and I'm 3 hours away from it so I can't really go out in the garage and check. :D

Did any of the other xj models come with a rear rim that would match the size of my front rim? I'd like to swap my rear rim with a larger rim to match the front. I have the curved mags and it is also chain driven.

    Thanks,
    CJ

    Front 19 inch tire size 3.25H 19
    Rear 16 inch tire size 130/90 16

There is a post somewhere about such a modification. You can use the search feature to locate it.

    Thanks JF.

Not having the bike near makes it hard to research at times (without spending 2 hours looking for simple specs). I'll have it down here soon.

Remember that prior to riding that bike you need to address the brake issues as well as tires. Yamaha say to replace master cylinder and calliper seals every 2 years and brake hoses every 4 years. The rear brake shoes need to be checked for de-lamination of the friction material from the shoe.

No. Your front rim is a 19" and nothing came with a 19" rear. The 550 Seca came with an 18" rear; however the whole brake drum is different AND the 550 Secas had straight-spoked wheels, so you'd need to swap the front as well for them to match.

What's the difference between the brake drums? I have a maxim 550 rear wheel on my seca 550 and it bolted right up. I still need to swap the whole front end to properly mount the front wheel since the seca has disc on right, maxim is on left...
