I am at the moment cleaning and checking my carbs, My question is what are the correct main jet size {xj650 1981} the main jets that are in have 925 stamped on, :? it is a lot different from the ones you guys talk about, The bike ticks over ok but when you open the throttle it hangs back and then its off like a rocket, its not the control I require, hope someone can help

mine (same bike possibly? - non YICS) have "120" and "RD" stamped on the main jets. from what I recall, 120's are common for over here in the states. not exactly sure why 925 or what it means..

    Hi there

    27-925 is Mikuni part number for a 157.5 large round jet....??Fits N100/604

Possibly that this is size of the mains already fitted to your bike.

I've got a 82 xj750 Maxim i'm rebuilding the carbs and wondered if anyone could tell me what jets i would need if i have drilled 8 holes in each side of the stock mufflers and i am going to put a filter on each carb. or would the stock jets be ok ?

Rule of thumb after fitting pods, is 3 up on the mains & 1 up on the pilots.
